FAQS

WHAT IS THE AIM OF UNERASED?
The intention of this documentary is to spark conversation, to encourage social change and for the trans teen experience to be discussed and shown by the very people who are trans and a teen. This series sets out to break down assumptions and offer new perspectives that the general public may not be privy to, and to help create understanding and acceptance. The aim is for all young people, whether cis or trans, queer or straight, to see themselves in this documentary and feel empowered to be the most authentic versions of who they are.

Completely self shot by the participants themselves, we follow these young people as they overcome challenges with family, friends, healthcare systems, religion, grief, representation and social change - while the issue of being trans is being debated around them. On the road to finishing high school and growing up, these young people must challenge, accept and confront it all to become their true selves.
